Whale Watching Report August 10, 2025

Trip Highlights:  The cute little otter right as we left; swimming, rolling over, scratching his face.  Then the eagle nest with eagle chick and parent.  Meteorite (humpback) breached at least four times; once he came almost completely out of the water.  So many humpbacks.  Lunge feeding humpbacks, lots of tail slapping.  One humpback right beside the boat – 10 feet away!  Phew! That was exciting.

Additional comments:  Also 1 seal, hundred of gulls, murres and rhinoceros auklets.  We learned so much about whales today.  We saw 8 different humpback whales.
