Whale Watching Report September 27, 2023

Trip Highlights:  Went from Port McNeill past Telegraph Cove and saw the Biggs killer whales.  They were close to the Dall’s porpoises.  We crossed Johnstone Strait and were looking for other transients.  Went west and had humpbacks in all directions.  Sea otters!, Dall’s porpoises, Biggs killer whales, seiner boat with chum salmon, humpbacks! Humpbacks, so many humpbacks!!, Bonaparte gull, sea lions (could not see the rocks for all the sea lions, 80 to 100!).

Additional Comments:  Saw their breath hanging above them.  Learned so much about the local ecosystem.  Water was flat calm.  A good group.  So much fun.  We all had some good laughs.  Thanks so much!  We have great memories.  (Thanks for telling us how much things have changed!)
