Good day everyone! This report is written by a passenger on board the “Naiad Explorer” today, Lies , who is from Kamloops, BC.
Trip Highlights: (where we went, what we saw, etc.)
After one hour of sailing (50 miles), we observed several (5) humpback whales for over 20 minutes, parading in and out, spraying or showing off their back then their tail – quite the show. Soon after, we saw a whole bunch of Steller sea lions being loud while sun tanning on the rocks. On the way back, we observed a curious sea otter.
Additional Comments:
The Covid measures were observed to the letter; super clean washroom at the office, immaculately clean boat. Each small group of people had its own space. This family owned business are doing a fine job. I strongly recommend this tour. Excellent safety measures!
Our trips depart from Port McNeill at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays The tour duration is 3 hours. For more information and reservations, please call:
