Whale Watching Report September 12, 2020

Date:  September 12, 2020

Good day everyone!  This report is written by a passenger on board the “Naiad Explorer” today, Natasha , who is  from Courtenay, BC.

Trip Highlights:  (where we went, what we saw, etc.)

Headed through a wide area south.  Saw approximately 5 orca, each a number of times.  These were Biggs (transient) orca.  Saw 7-10 humpbacks of a number of family groupings.  3 full breaches and some tails.  Sea lion colony with feeding behaviours and calls.  Numerous sea birds.

Additional Comments:

Amazing day to be on the water!  Cloud cover allows for wonderful visibility.  Great company – tons of information provided.  Excellent diligence with Covid processes and procedures.

Thanks!
