Whale Watching Report July 18, 2023

Trip Highlights:  We went east of Malcolm Island where we saw sea otters, then we travelled towards the south end of Malcolm and we hung out with Argonaut and Inukshuk, both humpback whales.  On the way we spotted an eagle’s nest with a juvenile eagle in it.  While we were at the area watching the humpbacks, we watched eagles and gulls diving for fish which the small birds herded together.  We went along the end of Cormorant Island and turned into Johnstone Strait and saw Dall’s porpoises on the way to the harbour.  It was great to learn all about the wildlife we saw.  Thanks so much!
