Trip Highlights: What a fantastic day! Glorious sunshine – we saw rafting sea otters, several humpback whales surfaced about the boat and the breath spouts rose high in the air signaling their presence. There were flock of birds feasting on fish on the surface. Then we saw a pod of 7 orca individuals (the A50’s) including grandma, children and grandchildren. Later we saw a bald eagle and as a parting farewell another humpback graced us with a closer encounter.
Additional Comments: Captain Bill was very friendly and his sense of humor brought people from various nations a bit closer together. Marieke was a wealth of information about wildlife and her enthusiasm was contagious. Hoping more otters come back to the area!
