Trip Highlights: Robson Bight Ecological Reserve edge/boundary, spotted T51 (Biggs orca) travelling west at approximately 6 knots. Spotted humpbacks ‘Squiggle’, ‘Ripple’ and ‘Inukshuk’. Spotted 3 groups of sea otter rafts about 5 minutes from Port McNeill. Spotted bald eagles, kingfish, seas and pups (Pearse Islands) and Dall’s porpoise.
Addition Comments: An amazing trip – thank you! It was so great for me to be back in the Johnson Strait after canoeing here 27 years ago from Telegraph Cove to a kayak campground and then to the boundary of Robson Bight. Humpbacks were not around when I was here 27 yers ago so it was amazing to see them here in 2026!
