Date:  August 29, 2020

Good day everyone!  This report is written by a passenger on board the “Naiad Explorer” today, Cherise, who is from Victoria, BC.

Trip Highlights:  (where we went, what we saw, etc.)

Went to Robson Bight, past Malcolm Island. Saw sea lions, humpback whales, white-sided dolphins, orcas and eagles.

Additional Comments:

My son and I really enjoyed the experience! He said it was lots of fun! Great sturdy boat, really nice not to be bobbing around in a little Zodiac. Marieke, our guide, was very well informed and has high enthusiasm for all things whales. Amazing that she knows so much about each whale and group of whales. Great to explore with a long standing local business, and I love that they in turn support the community too. Our trip was purchased by a family member at a local Rotary Club auction. Thank you to Mackay Whale Watching for a great experience!

Our trips depart from Port McNeill at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesdays and Saturdays  The tour duration  is 3 hours.  For more information and reservations, please call:
